Family, friends, and fans gathered in Atlanta on Monday (April 7) to say a final goodbye to rapper Young Scooter, whose sudden and tragic death shocked the hip-hop community.

Footage from the service circulated online, showing pallbearers dressed in all black carrying a silver casket adorned with white flowers. According to TMZ, Young Scooter will be laid to rest in his hometown of Walterboro, South Carolina.

The funeral comes just over a week after the rapper passed away on his 39th birthday. Details surrounding his death have left many stunned. Authorities say a 911 call had reported a naked woman being beaten and dragged inside a residence—an incident that led officers to a home where Young Scooter was present.

Upon their arrival, Young Scooter reportedly attempted to flee, jumping a fence and tragically tearing an artery in his right thigh. The injury proved fatal. The Fulton County Medical Examiner has since ruled his death an accident.
