Ja Rule Appears to Take Subliminal Shot at 50 Cent After Knicks Loss
The long-running feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent is showing no signs of cooling off — and Ja just added more fuel to the fire after the New York Knicks’ Game 2 loss to the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals.
With tensions already high following the Knicks’ disappointing performance, Ja Rule seized the moment to take a jab at his longtime rival, who was courtside at the game. He posted on social media:
“Man I knew my Knicks was gonna lose as soon as I seen that black cat (rat) in the building….”
The “black cat (rat)” reference, of course, was a thinly veiled shot at 50 Cent — continuing a decades-long beef that dates back to the early 2000s. Ja has never been shy about taking public jabs at 50, and it looks like he wasn’t about to miss an opportunity during such a high-profile moment.
While 50 Cent didn’t directly respond to Ja Rule’s post, he did vent his own frustrations in a characteristically chaotic social media update following the loss. He wrote:
“F*** today man the Knicks lost, the pope died, and Kanye told us he sucked his cousin’s d*** for 8 years. 😴 I’m going to bed early tomorrow gotta be a better day.”
Though his message didn’t address Ja by name, it captured the wild mix of pop culture chaos and personal disappointment — classic 50.
The two rappers have kept their rivalry alive for over two decades, with dis tracks, social media jabs, and public taunts marking one of hip-hop’s most infamous feuds. And based on these latest shots, it doesn’t look like either of them is planning to wave the white flag any time soon.
