A Costa Rican kingpin named Luis Manuel Picado Grijalba was busted by officials at an airport in London after police tracked his whereabouts thanks to his wife's Instagram posts.

According to reports, Grijaba, who goes by the nickname "Shock," was wanted by US Drug Enforcement Administration for several months for allegedly shipping cocaine from Limón, Costa Rica to the US. He reportedly purchased $20,000 worth of plane tickets to fly his wife and family to Europe, where they were planning to spend the holidays with family.

Grijabla’s wife, Estefania McDonald Rodriguez, documented the trip on Instagram, tipping off authorities, who were able to track their whereabouts. The DEA then obtained an international warrant for Grijaba's arrest. Grijaba is now fighting extradition to the US, where he would be facing a hefty sentence.

Costa Rica’s Attorney General, Carlo Díaz, spoke about Grijalba’s capture, stating, “For us, it is also an important capture because we had not yet been able to attribute any criminal act to him in our country, but I repeat, he has been linked in some investigations to drug trafficking in Limón.”
